Fundación Innovación Bankinter organized the Future Trends Forum entitled “Revolution of Quantum Computing and AI”, a two day encounter with a vast participation of 30 leading names in the quantum industry and AI.

Dr. Jose Ignacio Latorre, advisor to Qilimanjaro and Director of the Center for Quantum Technologies Singapore, Chief Researcher Officer at Technology Innovation Institute Abu Dhabi, opened the first day of the meeting with an Overview: “Setting up the challenges of Quantum Technologies”.

Our co-founder and CBO, Victor Canivell represented Qilimanjaro at the roundtable “New Business Models on Quantum” on the status and the needs of leading Spanish quantum startups, together with Quside and Multiverse in a dialog with Sandbox’s new Spanish team. The discussion centered on how best to spinoff key innovations from leading academic research centers, attract the talent and effectively address funding needs and go-to-market challenges. A very lively debate. 

The Future Trends Forum represented a platform for discussing the relation between quantum computing technologies and AI, the industries with more applications from quantum computing and the leading trends and countries in the quantum computing race. 

The two day event also included a keynote from Dr. Artur Eckert from Oxford University and Dr. Ignacio Cirac from Max Planck. Separate discussions and networking opportunities with executives from IBM and Ferrovial amongst others allowed for a very productive exchange of ideas between startups, large corporations, academics and the investor community.
