Qilimanjaro won the second edition of the Barcelona Deep Tech Award representing the Best Deep Tech Startup of 2022.  

This initiative is advanced by the Barcelona Deep Tech Node and awarded during the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit, held on September 22.

The jury was represented by members of the following companies Mobile World Capital, GoHub, Cerca, Damm, Nestle Group, Tecnio, Acció, Kaudal, Secpho, AWS. After a short pitch of the five finalists, including Deep Detection, Exheus, Nextmol and Gate2Brain along Qilimanjaro, represented by our CEO Victor Canivell, the jury decided the winner based on positive impact on society, the team building the startup, the product or the service advanced, the technological innovation and business model. 

We are very honored to have been bestowed this award created with the objective of supporting science and technology companies by facilitating their international project and promoting the deep-tech ecosystem in Barcelona. We will be taking full advantage of our prize, maximizing our  international exposure by participating in the Hello Tomorrow event in Paris in the upcoming 2023, and presenting our team and our project to the international deep tech community and investors.

We want to give a special mention to the other finalists for the great projects they presented and to encourage them to keep working hard, as their breakthrough ideas will for sure make a difference, sooner than later.
